Welcome to Quick City!
I sincerely appreciate your visit to our website and hope you find it to be helpful and informative. I would like to convey to you a brief historical background on myself for your information:
I was born in Sikeston, Missouri and my father moved the family to northwest Louisiana in 1955 and purchased a cotton and cattle farm outside of Bossier City, Louisiana, where I was raised. After graduating from Bossier City High School, I served in the U.S. Navy, and after my discharge from the Navy I was employed by South Central Bell (changed to BellSouth and is now AT&T) in 1973. In 1976, I was re-located by South Central Bell to South Alabama to work in the company’s construction department out of the Mobile District. After 35 years of service, I retired from AT&T in 2008. My wife, Lynn, and I purchased a home in Robertsdale in March of 1977, and have since made the city our home. We raised our three children here and have been truly blessed in the friendship that we have established and the love that has been given to our family from those in the community.
What I’ve enjoyed the most in my career with the City is being in a position to help others and to create improvements for our community. We’ve built parks, upgraded our utility infrastructure, and most of all we have improved the services and offerings that we provide to our citizens. We’re a very robust community, we are a community that is growing younger as reflected from the data on our 2010 census, our population base has been growing at the annual rate of 5% for the last 10 years, and we were recognized as the 8th fastest growing community in the State of Mississippi in 2003.
If we can be of any further assistance please contact us to address your needs, and we hope you will have a future opportunity to come and visit with us.
